COTHM organizes Oriental Sweets Workshop

COTHM Lahore campus, in partnership with International Chocolate and Pastry Academy, is organizing a series of premium workshops on Modern Desserts, Chocolate Making, Oriental Sweets, International Pastry, and Sugar Art.

The first workshop of the series was conducted today of Oriental Sweets. The inaugural session was also attended by a notable motivational speaker, Mr. Qasim Ali Shah who spoke to the class about the process he took for his company to reach growth when it comes to hospitality.

The students asked pointed questions around the impact of mentors, developing the role of skills in education and deepening connections and collaboration between the corporate and educational sector, how to keep going after failure, and insight into staying motivated each day.

Meanwhile, European trained chefs imparted training to the students to enable them to work in professional oriental sweets departments and even open their own oriental sweet store in the future.

Chef Anwer offered ideas for substitutions, tips for ahead of time cooking and freezing, along stories from his homeland. Oriental cuisine is healthy, delicious, and based on thousands of years of culinary heritage.

Speaking on the occasion, the founder and CEO of COTHM Mr. Ahmad Shafiq said that oriental food and culture have a significant place not only in Pakistan but also in the whole world, adding food is fundamental in any civilization.

He said that the COTHM will now regularly organize workshops to introduce authentic oriental cuisine to students and the interest of students in these current classes is proof that oriental food is flourishing in Pakistan.
